New Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the College of Business and Economics
Congratulations to Dr Sonia Mazey who has been appointed the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Business and Economics.
Sonia, who is currently the Associate Dean of the College of Business and Economics and Commerce Faculty, has been on the staff at UC since February 2008. Sonia obtained her doctorate in French politics from Oxford University in 1985. Prior to joining UC, Sonia held academic positions at Oxford, Cambridge, and Brunel universities in the UK. She has an extensive experience of undergraduate teaching and postgraduate thesis supervision, and a research and publication record of international standing in the field of EU politics, gender politics, and public policy analysis. She brings to the Senior Management Team a wealth of experience in strategic academic planning, curriculum development, academic quality assurance and accreditation processes, as well as many years experience of managing people and budgets.
Sonia will commence her new duties on 1 June.
