Copies of past exam questions are available from the Library website to aid your study.

UC Library

The Law Library and Commerce collection are located in the Puaka-James Hight Building. The combination of books and electronic databases is one of the best in the country for current legal and business information. The librarians are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The Law Library staff offer familiarisation tours and short courses on accessing the library. Please link to the UC Library for detailed information and opening hours.

Academic Skills Centre

The Academic Skills Centre is a free advisory service and resource hub for all students. They can help you with essay and report writing, refreshing your maths and presentation skills, as well as planning your study routine and revision for exams.


Unfiltered Business Resource

Unfiltered is an online site that provides you and access to inspiring stories and advice of some of New Zealand’s business heavyweights.Unfiltered contains interviews of internationally recognised high flyers like ex Air New Zealand and Commonwealth Bank of Australia head Sir Ralph Norris, global advertising superstar Kevin Roberts, CEO of Icebreaker Rob Fyfe, fashion icon Karen Walker amongst many others. All UC students can register online to receive free access to the Unfiltered business resource (check out how to sign up)

Support Services

The Student Support Advisors are your first point of contact for advice and referrals on issues that affect your academic and social life at UC. Some of the areas that a Student Support Advisor can guide you on are:

  • Understanding UC regulations and processes
  • Accessing appropriate resources around your study (e.g. extra tuition, study groups, Learning Skills Centre, etc.)
  • Accessing broader UC services such as accommodation, career advice, immigration, student clubs, etc.)
  • Seeking solutions to disputes
  • Developing appropriate communication skills that assist your UC study life
